Lumberjanes 10th Anniversary Campaign Launches on Kickstarter | News
Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since the launch of Lumberjanes, but it’s true—we previewed the first issue right here at GC4K, and we continued to read, review, and preview the Lumberjanes comics right up until the series ended in 2020.
Now they are back, sort of, with a 10th anniversary Kickstarter that will run until May 9 and will crowdfund the eight-volume Lumberjanes 10th Anniversary Library Editions as well as previously unreleased To The Max Editions Volumes 7-10. These books are collections of the original Lumberjanes comics in different formats; the 75 issues (plus specials) were originally compiled into 20 trades.

In addition to the new editions and an assortment of Lumberjanes merch, the Kickstarter will include donations of books to children’s hospitals and cancer centers through the organization ComicBooks for Kids.
Lumberjanes was one of the first releases under BOOM! Studios’ BOOM! Box imprint, which grew to include The Backstagers, Fence, and other YA series with LGBTQ characters. “There would be no BOOM! Box imprint without Lumberjanes, and as we celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the BOOM! Box imprint we also celebrate the enormous success, cultural impact, and 10th year anniversary of Lumberjanes,” said BOOM! President of Publishing and Marketing Filip Sablik in a statement accompanying the announcement. “This campaign is sure to delight fans new and old with beautifully designed hardcovers, in-world collectibles, and special surprises to be announced as the campaign progresses.”
