
New Publisher Alert: SHP Comics | News and Preview

SHP Comics is a new publisher that focuses in their words, on “delivering genre-bending storytelling melding Horror, Sci-fi, and Adventure into daring and intelligent stories.” And, of course, some of those stories are geared toward young readers, which is why we’re featuring them here. The Adventures of Baby Zicky: Wrath of the Rat King, by writer Darin S. Cape and artists Zeno Decrux and Hiorsh Gabbatto, is their first all-ages title, and it’s based on the bedtime stories Cape used to tell his kids. The five-issue series that will launch on May 21. Here’s the publisher’s description:
Whether Zicky is remarking on the fantastical world he’s found himself in or hurling insults at his enemies, our young hero will delight readers of all kinds. While this is a story for all ages, the series encompasses a rich narrative filled with vibrant characters and thematic depth to spare. Good and evil are not presented as black and white, and Zicky will need all of his persistence, humor, and ninja skills to reach the end of his journey before time runs out!
