Almost Sunset GN – Harper Alley releases a debut graphic novel about a young Muslim American boy trying to find balance between his family traditions and his secular middle school life. The month of Ramadan has begun, and for Hassan that means no eating from sun up to sun down. The fasting has intensified his already busy days full of homework, soccer and gaming. He doesn’t mention it to his teachers and friends, since they don’t understand it. The holy month brings his family and community together, but as it stretches on, Hassan struggles to keep up his grades while his friend Rosie is poised to take his starting position on the soccer team, and replace him in his gaming squad. He wants to do it all, but finding a balance between faith, tradition, school and fun without sharing the truth with everyone, including himself, is proving to be a daunting task. Fans of Swim Team and Chunky will enjoy this new title.

Darkwing Duck Volume 2 #1 – Dynamite Entertainment takes a step back in time to Darkwing Duck’s early years! When Goslyn asks about the lessons he learned in his early days of crime-busting and foe-foiling, DW is more than happy to regale her with tales of how he developed his redoubtable reputation. Starting with his formative years in St. Carand, he revisits (and likely revises) his whole (possibly embellished) story of his autobiography! Fans of the terror that flaps in the night will not want to miss this new volume!
