Yahgz Vol. 3: The Mystic Orb | News

We were the ones who announced the first and second volumes of Art Baltazar’s Yahgz, and today we’re making it a hat trick with the news of the third volume, Yahgz: The Mystic Orb. The final volume of the trilogy will be released on August 12, 2025, and the publisher’s age rating is 7-12. Here’s the executive summary:
The aftermath of the epic GWASH WAR has left Craybi Craynobi as the sacrificial hero and left behind an Orb without its mystical powers. What is the Mystic Orb? What magical mysteries does it hold? Is it a gateway into another world… or worse? Why does its magic feel cloudy? Is the Orb a power for good? Or is it a power for evil? And speaking of evil… Who is the menace of DARK ANGRIOUS?
Craybi Craynobi has been gone for 100 Cray years. It’s a cold and dark time for Cray World and the land of YAHGZ. The planet is getting colder day after day. Their world is on the verge of freezing. The only warmth comes from the planet’s core. What happened to the world we knew? What happened to the Cray cousins? What happened to Craybi Craynobi’s son, Crayski? Did the prophecy of Crayski saving the land of YAHGZ come true? What is the fate of Cray World? What is this new threat that invades YAHGZ?
Baltazar is a prolific creator of kids’ comics whose works include Tiny Titans, Flash Gordon Adventures, and ArkhaManiacs (with frequent collaborator Franco), the Dr. Seuss-inspired Cat Out of Water, Drew and Dot: Dueling Doodles, and lots, lots more. He’s been working on Yahgz for 30 years, since he started doodling it in a sketchbook in the 1990s. “What an experience this has been,” he said. “Even though this story has been with me for 30 years, it feels like I am writing something completely fresh and new…. It’s been my cartooning-life’s work.”
