Grades 7-10
I read a lot. So sometimes books mash up together and it’s hard to remember one book from the other. That’s why, when I read a book, I like to review it right away. I didn’t do that with this title, and you know what? I remember the book! Why am I bothering you by telling you this? Because if I can remember the plot and emotions two months after I read the book, it must have something. It must be good.
Morgana, who belongs to an old witch family, doesn’t quite have control of her magic. She’s working on it, but it causes her issues. When her family tries to make peace with the Red Vampire Clan, things go awry at dinner. Morgana is so startled when she is hiding out that she accidentally turns one of the vampires into a cat.

Oz is furious that he’s been turned into a cat, but he has no choice but to patiently wait while Morgana figures out how to reverse her disastrous magic. In that time, an affection grows for the young witch. But there is something ominous going on that will likely shake any peace between the clans.
The artist skillfully uses a mix of soft and bold colors, creating a vibrant palette that stands out on the page. The soft hues add a gentle, dreamy quality, while the bold colors inject energy and dynamism into the scenes. It captures the essence of classic manhwa styles while introducing a unique twist that feels both refreshing and captivating.
This series originally ran on Webtoon, and the publisher has scheduled two more volumes for later this year.
Readers will enjoy the blend of magic, action, and romance. A worthy addition to any reader’s repertoire of graphic novel reading.
