The Picks:
Flash Gordon Adventures Volume 1 Flash Of Greatness GN – Papercutz releases a new series from the creative team of Art Baltazar and Franco. Hero Flash Gordon, joined by his friends Dale Arden and Dr. Zarkov, battle to stop the evil plans of tyrant Ming the Merciless. Assisted by their allies from Lexray, Flash and friends go on zany adventures while enjoying valuable but humorous life lessons about friendship and teamwork. Where else would one learn how alien-world gravity affects the digestive system, why a lizard machine is important for making new lizards, and why Zarkov develops a way to make fake beards for Ming to wear? Fans of Tiny Titans and Itty Bitty Hellboy will not want to miss this new series!
Sesame Street #4 (Of 4) – Oni Press winds up their Sesame Street mini-series with a tale of magic and mystery. The Amazing Mumford takes the stage on Sesame Street for a night of magic. But things go awry when the Count volunteers to help with a trick. Now, all the numbers have disappeared from Sesame Street. Mumford must find a way to reverse his trick, or else the numbers may be gone for good! Readers of all ages will enjoy this final (hopefully just for now) romp with these timeless characters.
