The Picks:
Warriors Volume 1: The Prophecies Begin GN – Harper Alley releases a new graphic novel adaptation of the long-popular middle grade series. For generations, four Clans of wild cats have shared the forest: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. The cats of Thunderclan are in grave danger as their rivals, the sinister ShadowClan, grow stronger every day. In the midst of this turmoil a house cat, or kittypet, named Rusty appears. He may turn out to be the bravest warrior of them all. This first volume covers the first two original novels, Into the Wild and Fire and Ice. It’s the perfect introduction for new readers and a must-have for fans.
Meesh The Bad Demon Volume 2: The Secret Of The Fang GN – Knopf Books for Young Readers continues the adventures of “bad” demon Meesh. Having already saved the Underworld and become its Guardian, Meesh didn’t think she’d have to do it again. She figured there would be some minor rescues and maybe some crime-fighting here or there. But when an evil force forces her new friend Chai’s family out of their home and threatens to destroy all of fox-kind if they stay, Meesh and her partner, Fairy Princess Nouna, must team up again. Meesh suspects the same masked villain she faced before is behind this. She must stop them before it’s too late! Fans of the first volume and fantasy stories in general will enjoy this new entry.
