Manga Biographies Line Debuts With Charles M. Schulz
Udon Entertainment, partner-publisher of Manga Classics, has announced a new manga line: Manga Biographies. The first volume will be dedicated to the life of Charles M. Schulz, creator of Peanuts.
Manga Biographies: Charles M. Schulz is a 168-page authorized biography written and illustrated by Yuzuru Kuki. It covers key events in Schulz’s life from growing up in Minnesota to eventually becoming a cartoonist known worldwide. It also includes “a timeline of major events in the world during Schulz’s life, a selection of beautiful archival photos and information about Schulz and Peanuts, and a bibliography for further reading.”

The book will be available in October 2024 at a suggested price of $13.99, with advance copies on sale at the Peanuts booth at Comic-Con International: San Diego at the end of this month.
Future volumes promise to bring “the lives of some of history’s most interesting and influential people… to the globe-spanning medium of manga” with a focus on “legendary figures who accomplished extraordinary feats.” The publisher is aiming for a release schedule of three books a year.
