Chiri and her best friend Dai live in an orphanage next to the deepest, darkest forest. Chiri, a fun-loving super cook who’s always on the lookout for fresh adventures and ingredients. While on a scavenging mission for some amazing new ingredients, both she and Dai are plunged into the secret kingdom of Puddin’, a secret place plagued by the Thousand Faces Monster. Searching for a way back home, they meet and befriend all sorts of magical people and critters, such as witches, bards, ogres and sorcerers, all while trying to evade the darkness that was awoken on their arrival. This volume will make a great addition to any middle school library.

Sink Or Swim – Random House Graphic releases a new title set in the world of Just Roll With It. Its been a month since Ty has been in the water. He thought bouncing back from a broken arm would be no big deal, but now getting back in the water doesn’t seem as fun as it used to be. It’s been weeks since he connected with this friends on the swim team, so now he isn’t sure about seeing them at summer camp. He’s out of shape and afraid of failing in front of them. With his friendships fracturing, Ty needs to gain confidence in himself and fix everything before it’s too late. Middle school readers will enjoy this new, boy-centric graphic novel.
