Bounce Back Volume 2 No Such Thing As Perfect GN – Feiwel and Friends releases a new graphic novel set in the same world as Bounce Back. Emma isn’t as bright or popular as her older sister Julia, but she can’t help comparing herself to her. Her mother doesn’t seem as pleased with her, no matter how much she tries. The pressure to change grows as she measures herself to everyone else, but trying to be good at everything becomes exhausting and frustrating. Her friends and basketball teammates, and even Lexi, the French bulldog she’s dogsitting, help her realize that there’s no such thing as perfect, and it feels better to be true to herself. But getting other people, especially her mom, to understand that Emma might not be good at the same things as her sister may not be so easy. This volume continues the theme of friendship and finding yourself and is perfect for elementary and middle school readers.
Johnny Boo Volume 14 Johnny Boo Is Bored Bored Bored – Top Shelf releases the next adventure of everyone’s favorite little ghost. After letting Squiggle borrow his magic hammer so he can work on a mysterious project, Johnny Boo is left with nothing to do. He comes up with lots of great ideas for how to spend his time while he waits but ends up bored with each and every one of them! But when Squiggle, the Ice Cream Monster, and a BIG new friend join him, Johnny Boo still has a hilarious adventure and even learns something about sharing. Fans of Johnny Boo won’t want to miss this new adventure.
