Ink Girls – Greenwillow Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, debuts a series about the power that everyone has to create change. Cinzia is an eleven-year-old printer’s apprentice in sunny Siannerra, where science and the arts are encouraged by the ruling family. She loves working with her mestra, Aronne, and helping to circulate secrets and stories to the city. But when Mestra Aronne publishes a newsletter exposing the principessa’s brother for stealing from the city, both she and Cinzia are arrested for treason. Cinzia escapes and comes face-to-face with Elena, the principessa’s daughter, who is forced to keep to her rooms and garden because her uncle doesn’t consider her to be noble enough. The girls decide to work together to free Mestra Aronne and bring justice down upon Elena’s uncle. This new series will appeal to fans of Lightfall, Tidesong, and The Prince and the Dressmaker.
