Gargoyles Halloween Special | This Week’s Comics

Gargoyles Halloween Special #1 from Dynamite Entertainment tops this week’s list of new comics, manga and graphic novels for readers 12 and under, along with a new PAWS graphic novel from Razorbill. Gargoyles Halloween Special #1 – Dynamite releases a special for Gargoyles fans just in time for the holiday season. Halloween; the one night of the year when Gargoyles can roam the city unbothered. It’s young Gnash’s first in Manhattan as he heads out to find some friends, but he may find more tricks than treats as the masked Quarrymen are also out, hunting any Gargoyle on the streets on All Hallow’s Eve. Brooklyn, Katana, Lexington, Broadway, Angela and even Goliath are in real danger! They must survive this cruel trick or become a treat for the marauding Quarrymen! Fans won’t want to miss this issue with the main story written by Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman!

Paws: Priya Puts Herself First – Razorbill releases a new volume in this popular series. It’s the holidays, and the girls of PAWS are getting some surprises—but not necessarily good ones. Gabby finally gets a cell phone for Christmas from her parents, but instead of using it only for emergencies, she gets swept up in posting about PAWS online. While she is chasing internet fame when one of her cute doggo videos goes viral, Priya receives some awful news: her family is being evicted! Priya’s new home is in a nice neighborhood, but it’s also all the way across town, making her reluctant to see all the new possibilities the change offers. She chooses to take long bus rides to her old school so she can stay with PAWS and her friends. Unless the girls can overcome their challenges, this could mean the end of PAWS! Fans of Real Friends and Allergic will enjoy this series.
