Meems and Feefs Ferrets From Planet Ferretonia from Andrews McMeel tops this week’s list of new comics, manga, and graphic novels for readers 12 and under, along with a second volume in a series from Katherine Tegen Books. Other highlights include the first volume in the new graphic novel series from Oni Press, Quinnelope and the Cookie King Catastrophe. Renegade Arts Entertainment releases the first in a new middle grade series Alice of Spades, while Roaring Brook Press releases the graphic novel A Sky of Paper Stars.

Meems And Feefs Ferrets From Planet Ferretonia GN – Andrews McMeel releases a new graphic novel featuring two adventurous ferrets… from space! Brothers Meems and Feefs are unsatisfied and bored with their quiet life on Ferretonia. Smart, cheeky and tech-savvy, Meems uses the forbidden Ancient Tech of Ferretonia to build a Travel Opal with his goofy, happy-go-lucky brother Feefs, intending to go find adventure! Instead, they end up crashing on planet Earth with no way to get home. They find their way to an animal shelter and meet a shy teen named Liza. With the help of a Communication Opal, they are able to speak with Liza, and they put their trust in her. The trio must now embark on a race-against-time adventure, or else the ferret brothers will be doomed to stay on Earth forever! Middle school readers and ferret fans of all ages will enjoy this new graphic novel filled with humor and heartwarming moments.

First Cat In Space Volume 2 The First Cat In Space And The Soup Of Doom GN – Katherine Tegen Books releases the second volume in this series of feline intergalactic adventures. There is treachery in the court of the Moon Queen. She has been poisoned by soup!
