The Picks:

Lights GN – Oni Press releases the final installment of the critically acclaimed Sheets trilogy. Majorie Glatt’s best friend is Wendell, the phantom of a boy who died in a tragic drowning accident. He’s always known how he died, but now he’s grown curious about why. He wants to know more about his past life. With the help of Eliza Duncan, a ghost enthusiast and new friend to the pair, they set out to try to find out what really happened. Despite Wendell’s increasingly blurry memory, they hear a rumor about Wendell’s death and begin to wonder if it might not have been an accident. Meanwhile, Marjorie starts to befriend the people who used to bully Eliza, putting their friendship to the test. In order to help Wendell uncover the truth of his human life, the three friends must band together in friendship and bravery. Filled with mystery and emotion, this third volume brings the story to a heartwarming and satisfying conclusion.

Dona Quixote Rise Of The Knight GN – Henry Holt releases a fun and funny contemporary retelling of Don Quixote. Lucia Castillo always saw her grandfather as a hero. He dressed up as a knight and claimed to save the world from monsters only he could see. But to the people of their Texas town, was just a strange old man, her Abuelo Loco. Lucia’s dreams of being like her grandfather come true when she puts on his magical helmet and discovers the town mayor is secretly a shapeshifting beast of Mexican lore! With her best friend and trusty squire Sandro, Lucia must prove to her parents she is not imagining things and stop the mayor from unleashing evil on their town! A mix of adventure and folklore, this story is perfect for fans of Mighty Jack, Zita the Spacegirl and Amulet.
