Jeff Smith Cancels Book Tour | News
Jeff Smith, author of Bone, co-wrote and contributed art to a new Bone graphic novel, the first in over a decade. Bone: More Tall Tales is due out next month from Scholastic Graphix.
The book is a sequel to Bone: Tall Tales, which came out in 2010. It is co-written by Smith and Tom Sniegoski, with art by Smith, Stan Sakai, Katie Cook, Matt Smith, and Scott Brown. It’s arranged as a series of stories told to a group of scouts around a campfire. Bone: More Tall Tales is rated for ages 8-12 and will be available on September 5, 2023, as a hardcover priced at $26.99 and a paperback at $12.99.

Smith was planning a book tour to promote the release. However, recent bad news has required canceling the tour. His wife, Vijaya Iyer, posted on social media that Smith suffered a cardiac arrest on August 13 and has cancelled the remaining appearances this year, including several convention appearances, to recover.
