Nine-year-old Iggie is new to the town of Peculiar Woods where nothing is familiar and making friends isn’t easy when he’s not allowed to talk to strangers. When he gets lost in the woods on his first night, he discovers he can speak to inanimate objects. Faye, his blanket, Boris, the talking chair and yoga enthusiast, and a pair of spirited chess pieces team up with Iggie to help his new friends solve their problems and begin to uncover the mystery of the flooded town. As Iggie discovers the value of friendship, he also finds what needs to be done to save the entire village–before its too late!
