Dog Knight Volume 1 GN – Feiwel and Friends releases a humorous and heartfelt graphic novel for middle school readers. At an age when most middle schoolers are trying to find themselves, Frankie already has! They’re a drummer, they’re nonbinary, and they’re dealing with the relatively normal challenges of a relatively normal middle schooler, like finding the perfect outfit to wear for their upcoming drum solo. But, after saving a friendly golden retriever from bullies, they find themselves waking up in a giant magical doghouse with a funny looking helmet. A group of dog superheroes called the Pawtheon have chosen Frankie to join their ranks if they can prove they possess the six dog virtues of loyalty, kindness, honesty, justice, stubbornness, and smell. If they succeed, they will be named the Dog Knight, and given the power to fight the forces of chaos. Frankie may have more to discover about themself than they thought. Middle grade readers will enjoy this first volume, which is filled with friendship, adventure and lots of dogs.

Tig And Lily Volume 1 Tiger Trouble GN – Random House Graphic releases a new graphic chapter book for emerging readers. Lily, the tiger at the local zoo thought she knew what made a tiger a tiger. The stripes, the roar, it all seems obvious. Then she met Tig, her new roommate. Tig might look like a house cat and sound like a house cat, but Tig knows he’s a tiger. And he’s the fiercest animal Lily has ever met! These two cats are now in a competition to figure out what it means to be a Tiger, and a friend. Emerging readers will love the humor and cartoon art style, presented in easy to follow frames.
