World Of Betty And Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #21 – Archie Comic Publications keeps the holiday spirit with two brand new Christmas stories. What starts out as a holiday joke turns into a walk on the runway when Veronica makes a high-fashion snow-woman that goes viral on social media. Then while volunteering at the local animal rehabilitation center, Betty is put in charge of a very special case—the beloved pet eagle of the superhero Captain Flag is sick! She will have to use all her know-how to bring the special super-powered animal back to health. Touting itself as the “Official Comic Book of Christmas,” this digest is a great way to keep young readers anxious for Santa’s arrival busy until then.
Wings Of Fire Volume 6 Moon Rising GN – Graphix starts a new arc in the Wings of Fire series. Jade Mountain Academy is the school meant to gather dragonets from all the tribes and teach them to live together, perhaps even make friends, and keep the lasting peace. Moonwather, a young Nightwing isn’t too sure about it. Hidden in the rainforest for most of her life, she keeps an awful secret. She can read minds and sometimes sees the future. Living in a cave with other dragons overwhelms her as she is bombarded with strange thoughts, including a mysterious dragon who might bring danger to the school. When someone starts attacking dragons, Moon must make a choice: Stay hidden and safe? Or risk everything to save her new friends? Continuing the graphic adaptation of the popular middle school novel series, this is a great jumping-on point for new readers and a must for current fans.
