In “The Case of the Peculiar Pink Fan,” she must use the secret language of fans to help Cecily, the left-handed artist from the first volume, avoid marrying a man she doesn’t love. In “The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline,” her landlady, Mrs. Tupper, has been kidnapped over a cryptic message she supposedly brought back from the Crimea War. Enola must find the message and decode its meaning to save her. Finally, in “The Case of the Baker Street Station,” Enola must work with her brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft, to find a lady who has seemingly been kidnapped for her clothes. Adapting the last three books in the series of novels written by Nancy Springer, this volume brings things to a satisfying conclusion. It is a must for any middle school graphic novel collection.
