We’ve got a fun preview to ease you out of the week (and it’s been a tough one in the comics world): A sneak peek at Lumberjackula, a new middle-grade graphic novel by writer Mat Heagerty and artist Sam Owen. It’s a great little story about a kid whose mother is a lumberjack and father is a vampire, who has to choose whether to continue his education at Mighty Log lumberjack school or Sorrow’s Gloom Vampire Academy. It’s clever and light-hearted and full of silly humor and delightful characters—I can’t recommend it enough. But don’t take my word for it: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers will publish it on July 19, but we’ve got a lumberjack-size preview for you today. Enjoy!
