The Picks:
Cryptid Club Volume 1 Bigfoot Takes The Field GN – Harper Alley debuts a new series featuring kid sleuths and mysterious monsters. Lily needs a big headline for the school newspaper. Normally she wouldn’t listen to the gossip from her little brother Henry, but the rumor that Bigfoot has been spotted at school is the best lead she’s got. Before she can break the story, she needs to find some real evidence the cryptid is real. The discovery of claw marks on the football equipment and animal hair clogging the team’s showers is the lead Lily’s been waiting for. Lily, Henry and their quirky neighbor Oliver must discover why Bigfoot has come to their school before it’s too late! Fans of The Bad Guys and Catwad will love this new series.
Johnny Boo Volume 13 Johnny Boo Goes To School HC – IDW Publishing releases another tale of the best little ghost in the world. Squiggle is going to school, and Johnny Boo wants to go too! But when the Ice Cream Monster is your teacher, than school is the place where you have to wear an apple on you head so the teacher doesn’t mistake you for ice cream and eat you accidentally! There is so much to learn, like the mystery of “two plus two” and why the Mean Little Boy got bigger-and grew a mustache! This title is perfect for anyone about to enter or recently finished school, or could use a sweet and silly story about being brave in new situations.
