Glork Patrol Takes a Bath | Preview

Today we have a sneak preview of James Kochalka’s second Glork Patrol book, Glork Patrol Takes a Bath, which will be published by Top Shelf Comics on February 15. Kochalka’s goofy space alien first appeared in his book The Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza in 2014 (hit that link to see how Caleb invokes Joseph Campbell in his review); we also interviewed Kochalka about the origins of the character, who was originally conceived for a video game.
Here’s the publisher’s description:
What a mess! It all started when Glorkian SuperGrandma told the Glork Patrol they could eat candy for breakfast… now their “Dada,” the Glorkian Warrior, has a lot of cleaning up to do. Super Backpack gets a robot super-suit made of candy wrappers and takes Baby Gonk on the adventure of a lifetime, while Glorkian Warrior stays behind and tries to help the uncontrollable Baby Quackaboodle take a bath.
Families come in all kinds… even in outer space. This kooky, colorful adventure will feel hilariously relatable and have kids giggling through story time and bath time alike!
Kochalka is also the author of the equally silly Johnny Boo and Dragon Puncher books and several Glorkian Warrior titles as well. Glork Patrol Takes a Bath will be published as a 40-page hardcover priced at $9.99. Enjoy!
