Shirley And Jamila’s Big Fall GN – Dial Books releases the next installment in this series. With the summer over, Jamila and Shirley settle into the rhythms of class and afterschool activities. Jamila has basketball practice where she makes a second friend, Seena. Meanwhile, Shirley takes on a new mystery. The school bully Chuck is blackmailing kids all over school, including her client. She knows she and Jamila can put a stop to it. They come up with a plan to break into his house and recover the notes he uses to blackmail innocent kids. While they are at the house late one night, another intruder arrives–one who can help them stop Chuck one and for all. This is a great series for fans of Raina Telgemeier and Victoria Jamieson.

Just Roll With It GN – Random House Graphic debuts a new graphic novel series. Maggie is just starting her first year of middle school. Between trying to make friends, find the best after-school club, and avoiding the rumored monster on the school grounds, she’s having a tough time. She is able to manage her anxiety as long as she has her twenty-sided die to give her direction, with the right roll. But when a name is put to her behavior, Obsessive Compulsive disorder, her anxiety increases. This title explores how dealing with anxiety and OCD can affect everyday life, and will appeal to fans of Guts and Real Friends.
