Another Kind – Harper Alley releases a new graphic novel that is not your average monster story. In a government facility in the Nevada desert nicknamed the Playroom, six cryptid kids learn to control their strange and unpredictable powers. Safely hidden from the prying eyes of the judgmental world, life seems to be good. A security breach changes all that, as the kids are forced out of their home and end up on the run from a mysterious being with leech-like powers known as the Collector. The group must band together, protecting each other as they search for a safe place they can call home. Both heartwarming and thrilling, this new graphic novel will appear to fans of Runaways and The Witch Boy.

Mason Mooney Doppelganger Detective – Nobrow – Flying Eye Books releases the second hilarious and spooky adventure featuring the world’s greatest paranormal investigator. It’s Halloween in Grimbrook, and Mason and Iris are looking forward to the Grimbrook middle school dance. But when the discovery of a haunted mirror in the gym cuts things short, Mason and Iris are on the case. With the veil between our world and the world of the paranormal at its thinnest at Halloween, they must stand ready as they face their horrible doppelgangers from the mirror dimension, as well as a sudden shower of frogs! With plenty of mystery and magic, this volume is a great read for Halloween.
