Salt Magic – Margaret Ferguson Books releases the newest graphic novel from writer Hope Larson and artist Rebecca Mock. Things aren’t what Vonciel expects when her older brother, Elber, returns home to their family’s Oklahoma farm. His experiences from serving on the front lines of World War I have changed him. He’s become a serious and responsible man, marrying the girl he left behind and having little time for her. When a mysterious and captivating woman shows up at the farm, confronting Elber about leaving her in France, she puts a curse on the family well, turning the entire town’s water supply into saltwater after he refuses to leave his wife. To find out who the lady in white is, Vonciel must strike out on her own and delve deep into the world of witchcraft, confronting dangerous relatives, shapeshifting animals, a capricious Sugar Witch, and the lady in white herself, the Salt Witch.
