Orcs #4 | Preview

Today we have a preview of Orcs #4 from BOOM! Studios. Orcs is a six-issue middle-grade comic series by Christine Larsen, so this preview puts us right in the middle of it. The story is about the adventures of a group of Orcs who go exploring in search of fame and fortune; as this issue opens, they have just met up with some dwarves.
We tend to use the term “comics” to mean graphic novels here at GC4K, but single-issue comics for kids and teens do exist. I rounded up some in a recent article for ICv2; they range from the good old-fashioned Archie and Looney Tunes to more recent series such as Orcs and Chris and Laura Samnee’s Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters. Almost all of them will be collected into graphic novels eventually, but if you like your stories serialized, and you have a comic shop nearby, it’s worth checking them out.

So with no further ado, here’s our exclusive preview of Orcs #4, followed by two of the special variant covers for the series. This issue will be out on May 19. Enjoy!
