Way of the Hive A Honey Bee’s Story from HarperAlley tops this week’s list of new comics, manga, and graphic novel releases, along with a new Godzilla comic series from IDW Publishing. Other highlights include the second issue of Jim Henson’s The Storyteller Tricksters from BOOM! Studios. Hermes Press releases the prequel graphic novel to the comic strip On the Fasttrack with Dethany and the Other Clique while JY continues to release their comedy manga series Zo Zo Zombie with volume 10.

Way Of The Hive A Honey Bee’s Story GN – Harper Alley follows the coming-of-age journey of a young honeybee. Brand-new honeybee Nyuki has a lot of questions for her older sister. Starting with “When does a bee go through metamorphosis?, Nyuki begins a lifelong journey as she annoys her sisters, avoids predators, and asks more questions. Why does a queen bee sometimes leave her hive? Where does all this honey come from? And her biggest question, What is the inner voice she hears, and why does it tell her to go forth to adventure? She must learn to trust the voice if she is to master the way of the hive. Fans of First Second’s Science Comics series will enjoy this volume.

Godzilla Monsters And Protectors #1 – IDW Publishing brings the greatest kaijuu back to the world of comics. Godzilla is inadvertently awakened by a cold, single-minded business man who uses an untested element to create clean energy for a profit. Sensing the danger the energy poses to the planet, Godzilla attacks the root of the problem, humanity. But three intrepid middle-school students, with some help from Infant Island, decide to show Godzilla that not all of humanity is bad, and that there is still hope for the planet. Fans old and young will enjoy this new series.
