Robyn Goodfellowe and her father go to Kilkenny, Ireland on the orders of the Lord Protector Cromwell. The wolves living in the neighboring forest have been deemed a danger to the people, and it is Robyn’s father’s task to destroy them. When Robyn sneaks out into the forest, she is rescued by Mebh, a wild girl who lives among the wolves. Mebh introduces Robyn to her way of life, and they become friends. Robyn soon discovers WolfWalkers, people who can communicate with and turn into wolves, and she decides she must protect Mebh and her pack. But her new friendship creates a rift in her relationship with her father. It comes to a head when she transforms into the very thing he is tasked with destroying. This enchanting story will appeal to readers of all ages.
