New Series Alert! Oni-Lion Forge will publish Choose Your Own Adventure graphic novels, starting in August 2021. The graphic novels will be adaptations of the original Choose Your Own Adventure stories and will keep the interactive element.

New Publisher Alert! Mad Cave Studios, an independent publisher whose catalog includes Over the Ropes and Stargazer, will launch a YA graphic novel imprint, Maverick, next year. The first three titles will be Good Game, Well Played by Rachael Smith, Katherine Lobo, and Justin Birch, a story about friends getting together to save their favorite video game store; Needle and Thread by David Pinckney, Ennun Ana Lurov, and Micah Myers, a tale of two cosplayers; Nightmare in Savannah by Lela Gwenn, Rowan MacColl, and Micah Myers, a queer supernatural romance; Of Her Own Design by Birdie Willis, Jess Taylor and Stephanie Palladino, a story about a teen who can change the world with a magic pen—but isn’t a very good writer; and World Class by Jay Sandlin, Patrick Mullholland, Rebecca Nalty, and Justin Birch, which follows a teen who gets a soccer scholarship but has to deal with being part of a team.
