Choose Your Own Adventure comics are on the way, a new YA publisher will launch next year, and Godzilla barges in to middle-grade comics
Jennifer Holm’s Turtle in Paradise, which was a Newbery Honor book and won the Golden Kite Award when it was published in 2010, will be adapted into a graphic novel by Savanna Ganucheau. The adaptation will be published by RH Graphic in May 2021. Check the link for a preview!
Godzilla Invades Kids’ Comics: IDW Publishing has inked a deal with Toho International, Inc., which holds the rights to Godzilla, to produce a number of products, including a games, puzzles, journals, and a five-issue middle-grade comics series that will debut in April 2021.

New Series Alert! Oni-Lion Forge will publish Choose Your Own Adventure graphic novels, starting in August 2021. The graphic novels will be adaptations of the original Choose Your Own Adventure stories and will keep the interactive element.
New Publisher Alert! Mad Cave Studios, an independent publisher whose catalog includes Over the Ropes and Stargazer, will launch a YA graphic novel imprint, Maverick, next year. The first three titles will be Good Game, Well Played by Rachael Smith, Katherine Lobo, and Justin Birch, a story about friends getting together to save their favorite video game store; Needle and Thread by David Pinckney, Ennun Ana Lurov, and Micah Myers, a tale of two cosplayers; Nightmare in Savannah by Lela Gwenn, Rowan MacColl, and Micah Myers, a queer supernatural romance; Of Her Own Design by Birdie Willis, Jess Taylor and Stephanie Palladino, a story about a teen who can change the world with a magic pen—but isn’t a very good writer; and World Class by Jay Sandlin, Patrick Mullholland, Rebecca Nalty, and Justin Birch, which follows a teen who gets a soccer scholarship but has to deal with being part of a team.
