Sherlock Bones and The Natural History Mystery GN – Etch, an imprint of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, introduces a most unusual detective. Sherlock Bones, a bird skeleton, is the greatest detective in the natural history museum, at least according to his sidekick Watts, the stuffed parrot that only he can hear. When the precious Royal Blue Diamond goes missing, Bones and Watts are on the case. Making matters worse, the duo learn if the diamond isn’t found, the museum could close, and they would be forced to find a new home. And then there’s Grace, a silly, new-to-the-scene raccoon who keeps getting in the way. Bones and Watts have their work cut out for them if they want to solve this case and save their home! This action-packed mystery will appeal to dinosaur-loving young readers.

Student Ambassador Volume 1 The Missing Dragon GN – Iron Circus Comics debuts a new globe-trotting action adventure. Eight-year-old student ambassador Joseph Bazan wins a photo op with the President of the United States. His pluck and kid logic charm the President, and Joseph is sent on on a pressing mission. He must talk the new eight-year-old boy king Nang Nukatau III down from the brink of war. But when Nang’s castle is invaded, the two boys go on the run across South Korea and Japan, solving mysteries and befriending an army of Snow Monkeys, while Nang learns how to live in a world where everyone doesn’t bow down to him. With mounting danger and high stakes, Student Ambassador shows it’s really smarts that save the day. Middle school readers will enjoy this new series.
