Lightfall Volume 1 The Girl And The Galdurian GN – Harper Alley introduces two unlikely friends destined to save the world. Bea, the adopted granddaughter of the wise Pig Wizard, lives and works with her grandfather, crafting medicines and potions in their shop the Salty Pig’s Tonics and Tinctures for the people of the once-prosperous world of Irpa. Bea’s quiet life is disrupted when she meets Cad, a member of the Galdurians, a race thought to be long-extinct. Cad is searching for his lost people and believes the Pig Wizard can help him, but the Pig Wizard has disappeared. Fearing for his safety, Bea and Cad set out across Irpa to find him and discover an eternal darkness threatening to blanket their world. Their quest to find the Pig Wizard becomes a quest to also save the world. This new series for middle grade readers will appeal to fans of Amulet and Star Wars.

With A Dog And A Cat Everyday Is Fun Volume 1 GN – Vertical Comics releases a manga for dog and cat lovers alike. Mangaka Hidekichi Matsumoto lives with both a dog and a cat. Inu, the dog, is cute, innocent and full of joy. Neko, the cat, has a scary face, is aloof and is a master thief. Everyday life in this multi-animal household is filled with fun, laughter, and tears. Based on the author’s real life experiences, the manga shows what it’s like to live with both a dog and cat. These short comic strips are sure to charm and put a smile on your face, whether you’re a dog person or a cat person.
