Adventures Of Mickey And Maj Volume 1 Time Space Magic GN – Action Lab Entertainment gives an out-of-print webcomic new life. Mickey Hawthorne, an average seven-year-old boy, and Maj, aka Majestic, a talking, flying, ancient Magic Carpet have both been in time-out; Mickey in his room for the day, and Maj in the attic for years. When the two meet, it is the beginning of a magical adventure, for Maj has the ability to travel through space, time and dimensions! His mysterious origin with The Weaver and The Tapestry is revealed. An evil Egyptian god shows up. Mickey stuffs a PB&J into his open maw. The action is non-stop! Adventures of Mickey and Maj take inspiration from Doctor Who, Calvin and Hobbes, and Harry Potter, making it a good addition to any tween library.
Deep And Dark Blue GN – Little Brown Book for Young Readers releases a new epic graphic novel. Hawke and Grayson are twins trying to stay alive after a political coup usurps their noble house. They assume new identities as Hanna and Grayce and find refuge with the Communion of Blue, an order of magical women who spin the threads of reality to their will. While in their care, the twins learn more about the Communion and themselves. They begin to hatch a plot to avenge their family and retake their royal home. While Hawke can’t wait to return to his old life, Grayce finds she wants to hold on to the new life she has found that allows her to finally live as a girl. With plenty of action, fascinating world building, and strong character development, middle school readers will flock to this breathtaking graphic novel.
