The Picks:

Spider-Ham #1 – Marvel Comics hams it up with a new spider-verse series. Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham, is the web-slinger of Earth-8311, a world much like the Earth-616, with superheroes like the Avengers, except all of the inhabitants are anthropomorphic animals. While Spider-Ham is already an experienced dimension-hopper through the multiverse, as he is more than happy to tell his teammates, he finds himself now jumping through time, side-by-side with Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-MAN! It’s the Ham and Man story fans have been waiting for! After the success of Into the Spiderverse, Spectacular Spider-Ham is getting a new lease on life with his first series in nearly two decades. Middle school readers will really enjoy this comedic new Spider-verse series.

Science GN – A Kickstarted new series from the creators of Jupiter Jet gets a wide release. Tamsin Kuhn Trakroo, a fourteen-year-old theoretical and applied physicist, has just started at The Prometheus Institute, the most famous and prestigious science school in the world. She just has to deal with some of the usual transfer student stress. She’s crushing on her super-smart roommate whose newest discovery could tear a hole in the space-time continuum; the consciousness of her dead father, the world-renowned Dr. Thomas Trakroo, talks to her through a hologram in her glasses; and she’s offered an assistant position with the headmaster of the school, who her father’s hologram claims murdered him. Science: Elements of Dark Energy is the second successful Kickstarter for husband and wife writing team Jason Inman and Ashley Robinson and will appeal to fans of sci-fi of all ages.
