News: Baby-Sitters Club Graphic Novel Series Expands
According to Publishers Weekly, the popular Baby-Sitters Club graphic novel series will continue.
The first four adaptations of the Ann M. Martin novel series, beginning in 2006, were illustrated by Raina Telgemeier. They were so popular they were reissued in color beginning in 2015.

The series continued with three more graphic novels by Gale Galligan, starting in 2017, with a fourth, Logan Likes Mary Anne!, due out in September 2020.
Now Scholastic has announced plans for six more, beginning in 2021, with two out per year. The first four will be alternately adapted by Gabriela Epstein and Chan Chau. (The final two do not have announced artists at this time.) That will bring the graphic novel series to 14 volumes, but since the original series of source novels wound up over 130 books, there’s plenty more material to adapt into comics.

In April, Publishers Weekly revealed that Scholastic will also publish four Baby-Sitters Little Sister books, adapted from a spinoff of the original series. Katy Farina will be the adaptor for the first four volumes, and the first one, Baby-Sitters Little Sister: Karen’s Witch, is set for a December 26, 2019, release.
