Exclusive: Dark Horse to Publish ‘Avatar’ Omnibus

You’re hearing it here first: Dark Horse will publish a new edition of the series Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Promise in a value-priced paperback omnibus edition.

Written by Gene Luen Yang (in collaboration with the TV series creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino), with art by the Japanese team Gurihiru, The Promise was the first graphic novel to continue the Avatar story after the end of the TV series. It was first published in three paperback volumes in 2012, then as a hardcover omnibus (with a list price of $39.99) in 2013. Now it’s coming back as a 200-page paperback, priced at $24.99, in June 2020
