Asterix Goes to Papercutz

Big news! The kids’ graphic novel publisher Papercutz will be publishing the Asterix graphic novels.
The British publisher Orion Books has been publishing and distributing Asterix in English for years, but Papercutz is taking a new approach: They are doing a new translation that is closer to American style, they are using a smaller trim size (7.5″ x 9.5″), and they are bundling three volumes into a 160-page omnibus, although new releases will be 48-page single volumes. ICv2 reports that the omnibuses will be hardcovers priced at $22.99 apiece, with the first two due out in May 2020. Volume 1 will include Asterix The Gaul, Asterix and The Golden Sickle, and Asterix and The Goths, while volume 2 will collect Asterix The Gladiator, Asterix and The Banquet, and Asterix and Cleopatra. Plans call for four volumes per year going forward.
