Halloween Comicfest 2019

October 17, 2019 by Lori Henderson   Leave a Comment

It’s been 7 years since the first Halloween Comicfest, and like its sister event Free Comic Book Day, publishers have gotten into the spirit with several spooky/horror inspired comics and mini comics for readers to come and trick-or-treat for. There are 28 total titles available, with over half of them rated for all ages. Several of the titles are original stories, such as Dark Horse’s House of Fear and Source Point Press’ The Adventures of Cthulu Jr. and Dastardly Dirk. There are also samplers of graphic novels from both DC Comics and Random House Children’s Books.

One of the things that makes this event different from FCBD is that publishers also make available bundles of mini comics that the public can buy and give out at Halloween instead of candy. These bundles are $4.99 for 25 books, about the same price as a bag of candy.
