Mighty Jack Volume 3 Zita The Spacegirl GN – First Second has the middle-grade team-up of the century with Ben Hatke’s top two heroes joining forces to save the world! When Zita the Spacegirl comes to Earth looking for help with a new threat, Jack and Lilly, who are no strangers to heroics, are ready to help. The gate between worlds is growing weaker, and just outside the door, the danger is getting bigger. An army of giants and screeds stand ready to lay siege to Earth and put an end to the age of humans. With a threat greater than anything they could have imagined and time running out, the new friends must come together to save their world from their greatest enemy yet! Hatke’s sci-fi and fantasy worlds come together in a crossover that fans will not want to miss.
Seventh Voyage HC – Graphix releases a zany sci-fi tale from world renowned sci-fi writer Stanislaw Lem. When Ijon Tichy’s space ship is damaged by a small meteor, the lone astronaut discovers the repair are impossible to do alone. He goes to bed but is awakened by another astronaut, which is also impossible since he is alone on the spaceship. The second astronaut turns out to be Tichy’s future self, and he is now caught in a time loop! Soon more of his past and future selves start showing up, and instead of helping, they end up bickering and fighting with each other as they crowd into the tiny vessel. Tichy must find a way to stop fighting with himself in order to save his own life. Middle school readers will be delighted by this tale of time travel absurdity.
