The Picks:

Urban Legendz TP – Humanoids continues to expand their all ages content with a new original graphic novel. After his mother’s death, Dwayne is forced to leave his home in Indiana and move into the shabby Brooklyn apartment where his mother grew up. With a police officer dad, and a genius brother, Dwayne is dealing with a lot of personal problems. But he casts them aside after meeting a group of kids living in an underground city for those who have been forgotten by the establishment. They are investigating a series of supernatural crimes caused by monsters that everyone else considers urban legends. With the authorities refusing to acknowledge the problem, it’s up to the Legendz to step up and save the city. Created by animators from Pixar and Blue Sky, this graphic novel is sure to appeal to kids and adults alike.

Milo’s World Volume 1 The Land Under The Lake HC – Lion Forge releases an adventure set in a new magical world. Milo, having never known his mother, and with his father working in the city, lives with his three elderly aunts near a lake. He soon discovers many strange things in this lake; a fish egg that hatches a magnificent golden fish, a toad man who is interested in the fish, and a fiery young girl who was being held prisoner by toad man, who he frees. Now on the run, Milo finds himself on “the other side” of the lake, a parallel world where an evil wizard rules over an elf-like population. He seeks to extend his rule to the other parallel worlds, and only Milo stands in his way. The first of a three part series, this volume also stands on its own, and will appeal to fans of titles like Amulet and the Wizard of Oz.
