May 4, 2019 by Lori Henderson   Leave a Comment

Franchises collide as the comic industry’s annual event to promote comic reading, Free Comic Book Day, lands on May 4th – Star Wars Day (May the 4th – May the Force Be With You). Comic Publishers have a plethora of titles for readers young and old to discover. The titles listed here are rated for all ages. There are titles from familiar favorites such as Lumberjanes, Pokemon, Disney’s Descendants, and Star Wars Adventures. Nostalgic titles Casper the Friendly Ghost and Little Lulu have books as well as debut titles such as Go Fish, Wolfie Monster & the Big Bad Pizza Battle, and A Sheets Story, an new story that takes place after the original Sheets graphic novel. DC showcases their superheroes answering kids questions with Dear Justice League, while Britain represents with some of it’s best comics with Funny Pages and Doctor Who: Thirteenth Doctor. Even sports fans will find something as soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has his own book coming out, Strike Force 7. Keep in mind, while all of the titles listed here are rated for all ages, the actual series may be for an older audience, such as The Tick and Humanoid’s H1 Ignition universe. There are also some educational support titles from the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and the Overstreet Guide.
