The Picks:
Maker Comics Bake Like A Pro GN – First Second jumps on the Maker bandwagon with a new comics series. Sage is starting the first day of her magical internship. But instead of getting to study pyromancy or transfiguration, she is assigned to baking. She is less than enthusiastic about it until her instructor Korian shows her baking is just a tasty form of alchemy. She learn the simple science in an enchanted kitchen where the ingredient are just begging to be eaten. Following in the footsteps of their Science Comics series, this new Maker series celebrates the fun and creativity of DIY, and even gives readers simple projects they can try out themselves.
Bigby Bear HC – Bigby Bear wants to know more about nature and its elements in the lush mountains where he was born. He tries to figure it out by performing a series of silly experiments with the help of his loyal rabbit friend and other furry creatures of the forest. Following his curiosity, he uses his imagination to look at science, mathematics, and life on our planet, while making friends along the way. This is the first in Humanoids Publishing’s all ages line BIG, and is a feel-good tale that readers of all ages will enjoy.
