My Little Pony Legends Of Magic #7 – IDW Publishing starts on a journey to bring the Legends of Magic together. Sunburst has been sent a mysterious book that only has an “S” on the cover. It is the story of an unnamed pony, a scholar from long ago who is studying seashells and the creatures of the sea. One morning he discovers three sea ponies, and even though he doesn’t wish to admit it, his life is changed forever. This issue starts an arc that not only brings all the ponies of legend from the previous issues together, but also ties into the TV show’s seventh season finale. This prequel story is a must for pony fans.
Tea Dragon Society HC – Oni Press releases the new title from Katie O’Neil, author of the award-winning book Princess Princess Ever After. Greta, a blacksmith apprentice discovers a lost Tea Dragon in the marketplace. After rescuing her and returning her to the tea shop owners Hesekiel and Erik, she befriends them and their shy ward Minette. They invite her to learn the dying art form of caring for the delicate creatures, and in seeing how the craft enriches their lives, it eventually enriches her own. O’Neil once again crafts a story filled with enchanting and diverse characters. And the Tea Dragons are just so darn cute!
