The Picks:
Gregory And The Gargoyles Volume 1 HC – Humanoids Publishing brings over an all ages title from France. Gregory doesn’t want to move to the old family home in a new neighborhood across from a great old church. While in bed, unhappy and restless, he finds a strange medallion on the floor. Bullied for being new and ignored at home, Gregory decides to explore the church, but he ends up being hurled back in time to 17th-century France, where dragons and other magical creatures exist, and the gargoyles on the church are the last line of defense against evil sorcerers determined to rid the work of all magical creatures. Filled with magic and adventure, and a cartoon style of art, this is a series fantasy fans of any age will enjoy.
Water Memory Volume 1 GN – Lion Forge releases a new series of family secrets and maritime legends. When her mother inherits an old family house, it’s time for Marion to start a new life by the sea. The house has its own private beach, a view of the sea, and a chance to find out about her family history from the older folks in the nearby village that knew her grandfather. But after Marion discovers strange rock carvings nearby, things start to happen that make her realize all is not as it seems. Mystery mingles with legend to create an engaging story for readers of all ages.
