The Picks:
Batman ’66 Meets The Legion Of Super-Heroes #1 – Batman ‘66 continues his tour of the DCU as he and Robin meet a new superhero team. The Legion of Super-Heroes, a team of super-powered kids from the 30th century, travel back to the 1960s to enlist the aid of the “greatest teen superhero ever.” They need Robin’s help in catching the time-traveling criminal known as Universo, while Batman’s hard-boiled nemesis Egghead steals one of their unattended time bubbles and takes off to the Legion’s own time period. The teams will have to split up, with Batman heading to the future with one half of the Legion while Robin stays in the swinging sixties with the other. Adam West may be gone, but the Batman he left us lives on for readers of all ages to discover.
Moonstruck #1 – The creator of the Lumberjanes brings a new ongoing series to Image Comics. In a world where fantasy creatures live alongside humans, barista Julie strives to live a wholly unremarkable, normal life: Normal job, normal almost-girlfriend, normal werewolf transformations when she gets upset?! Despite her dogged determination to be normal, Julie and her centaur best friend Chet end up in the middle of a magical conspiracy. Being normal will just have to take a back seat to saving the world. Grace Ellis, Shae Beagle, and Kate Leth have the makings of another hit for tweens and teens with this new series.
