The List:
Jem And The Holograms Infinite #1 – IDW Publishing brings back Jem and the Holograms in their first TRULY outrageous crossover. After a public fight with the Misfits at a charity event, Jem and the Holograms, now a happy quintet, are met by a strangely dressed Techrat. Using his tech, he takes them to a whole new world…literally! They embark on an adventure unlike anything they’d ever imagined possible. Finally, the sci-fi shenanigans join all the music, fashion, and romance from the show. Kelly Thompson has done an amazing job with adapting the show to the comic, so it’s encouraging to see her bring in this element from the show.
Toby Goes Bananas Volume 1 GN – Graphix lets loose a young boy who has entertained kids in France for 15 years. Toby likes to be the class clown. His friends think he’s funny, but his parents and teachers are less amused, mostly because they’re not in on the jokes! Toby is the smart-alec that gets away with everything that kids will love to read and wish they could emulate. Filled with one-liners and short jokes, this book will keep kids laughing, all the more when their parents roll their eyes after reading it themselves.
