The all-ages wordless comic Love: The Lion, by Frédéric Brémaud and Federico Bertolucci, made the Best U.S. Edition of International Material lit, and several of the other nominees are particularly teen-friendly: March (Book Three), by Rep. John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell and Tetris: The Games People Play, by Box Brown (Best Reality-Based Work); Mooncop by Tom Gauld and Wonder Woman: The True Amazon by Jill Thompson (Best Graphic Album—New); orange: The Complete Collection, by Ichigo Takano, Princess Jellyfish, vols. 1–3, by Akiko Higashimura, and Wandering Island, vol. 1, by Kenji Tsuruta (Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia). Ann Szabla’s beautiful webcomic Bird Boy, which is published in print by Dark Horse, made the Best Webcomic list.
