The Picks:
Saban’s Power Rangers Aftershock GN – BOOM! Studios releases a tie-in to the recently released Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie. Picking up immediately after the events at the end of the movie, this graphic novel follows Jason, Kimberly, Trini, Zack, and Billy as they try to adjust to their new roles as superheroes both as individuals and as a team. While they’ve experienced their first real victory, their work is far from done. Fans of the recent movie will want to pick up this book for an expanded look and the growth of the characters in this new world.
Jem And The Holograms #24 – It’s the beginning of the end for Jem and Holograms at IDW Publishing. Jem and the Holograms head to Hawaii for some peace and quiet, to get away from it all. But with the Stingers not-so-coincidentally renting the beach house next door, and still not too happy after Raya’s recent defection, nobody is going to be getting any rest or relaxation! This issue is the first in the final arc for Jem and the Holograms, which ends with issue #26. While it’s been a great ride so far, this final arc will be nothing if not Truly Outrageous!
