How to Train Your Dragon - The Serpent's HeirHow To Train Your Dragon Volume 1 The Serpent’s Heir TP – Dark Horse Comics gets into dragon training in this new tie-in series. Picking up right after the events in How to Train You Dragon 2, Hiccup, now the leader of his people, along with Astrid and the rest of the dragon riders go to an earthquake-plagued island to help the people. They have to deal with a King not really interested in ruling, a madman who wants to become a dragon, but most difficult of all, an incredible new dragon who even Toothless-the alpha dragon-may not be able to control. This series is co-plotted by the writer, director, and producer of the How to Train Your Dragon films, Dean DeBlois, so this volume will be a perfect bridge to the upcoming new film in 2018. Fans will not want to miss it. Read both a review and preview of this volume here.

Another Castle v1Another Castle Grimoire Volume 1 TP – Oni Press releases another princess determined not to be another damsel in distress. Princess Misty of Beldora doesn’t care for the Rules of Conduct that regulate a princess’s life in her kingdom. She prefers a more exciting life, where a princess can protect her kingdom just as well as a prince can. She is captured by Lord Badlug, the evil ruler of the neighboring kingdom of Grimoire, who intends to marry her and then conquer Beldora. But Misty won’t play the role of damsel in distress, and instead she works together with the long-suffering citizens of Grimoire, along with a certain bumbling prince, to protect her kingdom and free both realms from Badlug’s tyrannical rule. This series is another of a growing list of stories with princesses discovering what it takes to be the hero, and showing both boys and girls that they can do just that.
