The Picks:

mega-princess-1Mega Princess #1 (Of 5) – BOOM! Studios introduces a new princess from writer Kelly Thompson. When Princess Maxine turns 10, her fairy godmother appears to grant her all the gifts every fairy tale princess gets: being able to sing on key, feel a pea under 20 mattresses, and talk to animals. While the latter sounds cool, she isn’t interested in the rest. She wants to be a detective! And she gets her chance when her little brother, Prince Robert VI, aka Baby Bobs, goes missing. Max is on the case with the help of her saucy and not-so-cooperative pony Justine, and her new Mega Princess powers! Mystery, magic, and princesses combine to make a story filled with fun and adventure any kid would love.

my-little-pony-48My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic #48 – IDW Publishing prepares for the craziest, most epic MLP story yet! Twilight Sparkle and the other Princesses have no answers as multiple versions of ponies begin springing up around Ponyville, strange new beasts stalk the land, and an orb of energy grows larger in the sky. But, there is one in all of Canterlot who just might. The creature of chaos himself, Discord! This latest story line will lead the comic not just into the big 5-0 but also to major changes in the comics as well. Fans will not want to miss it.
