Gotham Academy Volume 3 Yearbook – DC Comics collects the next volume of the kids from Gotham Academy. It’s the end of the year at Gotham Academy, but there’s not going to be a yearbook to document it, so the members of the Detective Club decide to make their own. They fill it with lost adventures from the school year, including an attempt to take over the school that is thwarted by Maps and her love of cat videos. These issues of Gotham Academy were so much fun, filled with short stories by different creators, that cover from the silly to the sublime. It is serious fun.
Pussycat – Papercutz brings over another comic series from France, featuring a lovable, mischievous tuxedo cat. Poussy, a cat in every sense of the word, doesn’t speak and isn’t much of a hunter. He prefers to chase after milk rather than a mouse, and he loves to eat, avoid dogs, and meow at night. If there’s any trouble, he’d rather frame other members of the family in order to keep indulging in his passions, something he will go to great lengths in order to continue. From Peyo, the creator of The Smurfs, comes a delightful collection of comics that shows cats don’t have to speak to be funny or entertaining.
